Jocelyne

Jocelyne is a Freshman at pace High School. As an ARMY brat who moved frequently, Jocelyne experienced bullying in the 5th grade, after her family moved, and became increasingly bullied in the 6th grade.

Jocelyne realized her friend was being bullied too, so she decided enough is enough. She met with her friend’s bully and had a genuine conversation with him/her, asking why they were bullying her friend. Jocelyne shared her perspective as someone who was also being bullied, and seeked to understand what was causing the bully’s anger.

She changed her perspective to see bullies as victims as well, and she now strives to help bullies and to better herself as well.

“Don’t give a bully what they want by letting them get in your head, give them what they need whether it’s help or someone to talk to,” advises Jocelyne.

Thank you, Jocelyne, for being such a compassionate person! We are proud to award you with free orthodontic treatment at Fishbein Orthodontics.
